Last Tuesday, December 30, they presented the book “History and Tradition of the Negritos of Huánuco”, the work of the teacher and researcher Fredy Vicente Aranda Venturo, in the San Sebastián room of the Provincial Municipality of Huánuco.
This publication constitutes a fundamental contribution to the preservation of regional cultural heritage, by delving into the historical richness of the traditional dance of the Negritos of Huánuco. The book also offers an exhaustive record of the various brotherhoods linked to this cultural manifestation, from the oldest – whose foundation dates back to the beginning of the last century – to those that have emerged in the last two decades.
The work details the origins, changes, organizational structures and the social and community role that these brotherhoods play in the cultural life of Huánuco, consolidating itself as a valuable reference document for researchers, cultural managers and citizens in general.
