The head of the White Helmets, Sabina Frederic, reviewed this Tuesday the humanitarian aid that the Argentine Government deployed in Ukraine since the beginning of the war with Russia and stated that “there are already more than 69 tons in a total of seven shipments” of merchandise dispatched by the humanitarian agency that depends on the Foreign Ministry.
The official recalled, in dialogue with Télam Radiowhich at the beginning of the war formed “a kind of itinerant consulate” made up of a group of seven people to collaborate in the departure, transportation and logistics necessary for the Argentines and Latin Americans leaving Ukraine in the first weeks of hostilities.
Frederic affirmed that these refugees returned to Argentina in some cases and in others “they stayed in Europe or in the vicinity of Ukraine waiting for the war to end.”
The official also indicated that the first aid shipment was made through an Aerolineas Argentinas flight, and explained that “all shipments arrive in Poland and are then transported by train to Ukraine.”

Frederic specified that Since the donations to Ukraine began to be planned, at the end of March, and until July 1, “seven shipments in total” were made.
He said that they took water purification tablets, blankets, cots, food and some medicine supplies, both donations from the Argentine State and from the Ukrainian community that lives in Argentina.
“It must be said that this is the country in Latin America that has donated the most to Ukraine and that is a bit of what President Alberto Fernández transmitted to (Ukrainian President Volodímir) Zelenski, who was informed and also thanked him,” Frederic valued.
