On April 13, the light of Freddy Rinconone of the greatest figures in Colombian soccer, who in the early hours of April 11 suffered a spectacular accident transit in Cali.
In the midst of this pain, the authorities advanced the investigations into the traffic accident that caused death, establishing the minute by minute of what happened that fateful morning.
Today, five months later, there is already an outcome of the case, at least legally. As revealed RCN news, the Office of the Attorney General of the Nation had a group of forensic experts, who analyzed for several months the vehicles, the medical history of the former soccer player, the autopsy report, a series of sworn statements, the sequence of videos with the route the car took and 139 photos of that night.
After analyzing all the evidence, the Prosecutor’s Office requested “the termination of the investigation, taking into account the death of Freddy Eusebio Rincón Valencia, in accordance with the provisions of article 332, numeral 1 of the penal code.”
In other words, the case against the accident that caused the death of the soccer player and injuries to his four companions, was archived.
Apparently, the former soccer player “violated the objective duty of care, when I was traveling along Carrera 34 from east to west and when he reached 5th Street he did not stop at the traffic light that was with the red light on”.
Taking into account the above, it was established that Freddy was solely responsible for the accident by violating a traffic ruleas is the red traffic light.
Thus, the request of the Prosecutor’s Office was accepted by the ninth criminal judge of Cali and in this way, the investigation of a death that mourned Colombia is closed.
