This December 23, the Subcommittee on Constitutional Accusations (SAC) will debate the final report on the constitutional complaints against the suspended congressman Freddy Diaz Monago for the alleged infringement of the Articles 35 and 39 of the Constitution. The extraordinary session of the working group led by the parliamentarian Lady Camones (Alliance for Progress) starts from 8.30 am
In this line, the person in charge of supporting the report is Luis Aragoncongressman of the caucus of popular action and delegate of the elaboration of said document. As detailed, the SAC granted him up to Decembre 19th as the maximum period for presenting the aforementioned document against Diaz Monago.
The report against the suspended congressman includes the DC 284 and DC 286which indicate that Freddy Diazpresumably, incurred in the constitutional infraction of the articles 35 and 39 of the magna carta, this as a result of the tax complaint filed against Diaz on July 27.
As detailed, the constitutional complaint against Díaz Monago arises from the fact that a worker from his congressional office reported to the Prosecutor’s Office for the alleged crime of sexual assault.
Meanwhile, both complaints request the disqualification from the exercise of public function of the legislator for a term of 10 years, maximum period established by the Political constitution.
It is important to specify that the Ethics Committee decided to penalize Freddy Diaz with 120 days of suspension from work without pay.
