The Santa Cruz Rally in Porongo started this Saturday With a first vibrant stage over 58 timed kilometers, in which Sebastián Franco took over general leadership.
The Pilot Cruz, accompanied by his navigator LucaS Hurtado, showed regularity and forcefulness when imposed in four of the seven disputed sections. Its total time was 29 minutes, 14 seconds and 1 tenth (29: 14.1), enoughTo lead the classification.
Followed by Mariano Aguilera, who escorted him asOlo 1.5 seconds (29: 15.6), while Eduardo Peredo closed the podium with 29: 19.6, 5.5 seconds from the leader.
Behind them were Jhonny Tarqui (30: 10.3), MarquiTo Bulacia (30: 53.1), Sebastián Careaga (31: 25.6) and Mathew Careaga (31: 49.2), completing the group of the top ten of the stage.
The competition will continue this Sunday with the second stage, which includes six special tests. There, the pilots will seek to cut differences and keep the fight for the title of the Santa Cruz – Porongo rally alive.
