National District.- The presidential candidate for the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD), Abel Martínez, appointed Francisco Javier García as general coordinator of his candidacy for the 2024 elections.
Martínez offered the information at the National House of the PLD, during an activity led by the party’s president and general secretary, Danilo Medina and Charles Mariotti.
“Today is a day to thank, to congratulate, but above all, a day to continue; And precisely, I want to start by thanking each and every one of the members who were part of CONAP, all the links of the internal consultation of our party, who with patience, with dedication, leaving aside egos and nonsense, have constituted this process, in the most exemplary in the history of the Dominican Liberation Party, always carrying a message of harmony, transparency and organization to each territory of the country”, expressed Martínez.
He also assured that the candidacy he heads must be directed and strategically oriented to reach a first round in 2024.
“I take advantage of this high-level stage to tell you that we have reflected and studied for months the electoral panorama of the Dominican Republic, and a candidacy like ours has to be led by a genius, by a gladiator who has proven himself on the battlefield. its successes and we have decided that it be led by the greatest political strategist of recent decades; that he led the campaigns of 1996, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2010, 2012 and 2016, emerging victorious in all of them, and that is Francisco Javier García”, expressed Abel Martínez.
The president of CONAP, Alejandrina Germán, members of the CP and the Central Committee, and the leaders who served as provincial and municipal liaisons in the past internal process of that political organization were present at the meeting.
