Francisco de Miranda deliver to Indonesia Ambassador to Venezuela

After an outstanding diplomatic work, the order ‘Francisco de Miranda’ was conferred on Indonesian Ambassador in Venezuela, Mr. Imam Edy Mulyono, Foreign Minister of the Republic reported, Yván Gil in his digital contacts.

“This distinction is granted in recognition of its outstanding diplomatic work during its permanence in our country, which has been fundamental to strengthen friendship and unity between our nations,” Gil said.

The Chancellor in “President of President Maduro” said that “we wish him a future full of successes in his new projects and express our sincere thanks for his dedication and valuable contribution in multilateral forums.”

Indonesia and Venezuela established diplomatic relations in 1959. Since then, they have maintained friendly ties based on mutual respect and cooperation.

Both nations have strengthened their relationships in areas such as trade, investment, tourism, technology, chemicals and natural gas. They have also cooperated in the field of education, hydrocarbons, air services and parliamentary cooperation.

The Venezuelan president, Nicolás Maduro, made an official visit to Indonesia in 2019, where he met with his Indonesian counterpart, Joko Widodo. During the visit, several cooperation agreements were signed in areas such as energy, agriculture and commerce.
