The crossing between Argentines on the day inaugural Australian Openfirst Grand Slam of the year, had the pass to second round of Francisco Cerúndolo on the returned Guido Pella, who came from a long inactivity due to injury, by 6-4, 6-4 and 6-3.
Pella had to resort to the protected ranking to be able to play this contest and was surpassed by the greatest forcefulness of a Cerúndolo in full development.

Pella, from Bahia, currently unrankedhe had only played one match in 2022 and it was in November at the Challenger in Montevideo, after a year of his previous meeting against the Spanish Pedro Martínez in the ATP 250 in Moscow.
Meanwhile, in the early morning of Argentina this Monday, Tomás Etcheverry (80) from La Plata made his debut against the Frenchman Gregoire Barrere (88) and later Sebastián Báez and Federico Coria took to the field.
Báez (41) will do it against the local Jason Kubler (86), who participates invited by the organization, and the man from Santa Fe (76) will collide with the Hungarian Marton Fucsovics (73).
The last to appear will be the Rosario Nadia Podoroska (191) against the French Leolia Jeanjean (109).
