Francis Allison submitted his resignation to Alliance for Progress

The mayor of Magdalena del Mar, Francis Allisonresigned from the political party Alliance for Progress (APP). This after questions to César Acuña’s party about the existence of an alleged prostitution network in the Congress.

This measure responds to cases of homicides, robberies, extortion, human trafficking, illicit drug trafficking, among other crimes, that are recorded in those areas.

Through a letter addressed to César Acuña, president of the APP, Allison reports his resignation as a member of the group, in accordance with the provisions of the Law of Political Organizations and the provisions of Resolution No. 0045-2024-JNE .

Furthermore, he appreciated the trust given him while he was a member of this political group.

In 2022, Allison won the Mayor’s Office of Magdalena del Mar with Alianza para el Progreso. In June 2024, the mayor assured that Acuña proposed that he run for Mayor of Metropolitan Lima in 2026.
