The Brazilian franchise market recorded a 13.5% increase in 2024, reaching revenues of R $ 273.08 billion, according to performance survey by the Brazilian Franchising Association (ABF), released on Wednesday (5).
According to the entity, the result is associated with the recovery of consumption, heated by the low level of unemployment, the increase in the salary and the purchasing power of families.

“A strong labor market and more money circulating in the economy, even with its inflationary impacts, boosted the revenue of Brazilian franchising that, like other sectors, exceeded initial expectations,” said ABF President Tom Moreira Leite.
The fastest growing franchise segments in 2024 were entertainment and leisure, up 16.6%, followed by health, beauty and well-being (raising of 16.5%); Food – Food Service (16.1%), and Food – Trade and Distribution (14.7%).
Main franchises
For the third consecutive year, the Cocoa Show maintained brand leadership with more operations (4,216) an expansion of more than 10% in 2024. Then comes O Boticário, with 3,746 operations, McDonald’s (2,704) and the Ortobom Mattress Network ( 2,387). The lubrax+ network rose from sixth to fifth place with 1,685 operations.
