In the case of citizens who are in Venezuela, the Foreign Ministry recommends contacting the airline to find out the status of the flights.

The French government asked to postpone “all trips” to Venezuela due to “extreme risk” due to the suspension of flights by several airlines and a “delicate security situation.”

The Foreign Ministry issues the warning both to citizens who are in Venezuela and are at risk of being stranded due to the suspension of their flights and to French people who plan to travel.

“All trips to Venezuela must be postponed,” he noted in the travel alert update this Wednesday, November 26.

In the case of citizens who are in Venezuela, they recommend contacting the airline to find out the status of the flights.

Likewise, he asked to consult the travel advice, particularly those referring to avoiding visits to areas you consider dangerous.

Among the recommendations, the French Foreign Ministry advises staying away from any demonstration or meeting of a political nature and staying informed of the political and security situation. Likewise, it is recommended to refrain from any expression about the Venezuelan political situation there.

This Wednesday the 26th, the administration of Nicolás Maduro revoked the concession of six international airlines that it accuses of joining in “terrorist actions” promoted, according to the communication, by the United States government.

The airlines affected by the measure are: Iberia Líneas Aéreas de España SA, Transportes Aéreos Portugueses SA (TAP Portugal), Aerovías del Continente Americano SA (Avianca), Aerovías de Integración Regional SA (Latam Airlines Colombia), Turkish Airlines and GOL Linhas Aereas SA

France’s recommendation is added to that made this Tuesday the 25th by Switzerland and Poland, as well as those made in previous days by the governments of South Korea and Germany, who also advise their citizens to leave Venezuelan territory and avoid traveling to the borders.
