SANTO DOMINGO.– France praised the efforts made by the Dominican Republic to mobilize the international community against the crisis in Haiti.
french president Emmanuel Macron praised the efforts made by the Dominican president, Luis Abinader to achieve the intervention of the international community to help the neighboring country to combat high levels of violence.
“I am, like you, very concerned about the protracted crisis situation in Haiti, the deterioration of the security, political and humanitarian context carries a risk of destabilizing the region, particularly in terms of migration. The effects are already being felt in the Dominican Republic, as well as in our French communities in the Americas,” President Macron said in a letter to Luis Abinader.
The French president indicated that his country is very involved in the search for a peaceful solution to the situation in Haiti.
