The Block of Aldermen of the Force of the Town (FP) in the City hall of Santiago asked the municipal authorities to explain the process of tender which, according to reports, doubles the price of the ton per collection of trash in the municipality.
Opposition councilor Odalis Tejada indicates that the sheet of the process establishes an amount of RD$2,035 per tons of solid waste collected, RD$635 more than the RD$1,400 established in the tender for a total amount of RD$1,683,654,280,896 suspended in November 2023 to the management of Abel Martínez by the General Directorate of Public Procurement (DGCP).
“We want to know why it is rising almost 700 pesos for the service of collection of solid waste,” says the councilor.
