Fourth shipment with humanitarian aid sailed to Cuba

The national government sent a fourth shipment of humanitarian aid to Cuba, containing 27 containers with household products and construction materials.

Within the framework of the Bolivarian Alliance for the People of Our America – People’s Trade Treaty (Alba-TCP) and in order to promote cooperation between the nations of the region, this new sailing has as its main objective to help in the recovery of the most affected areas in the east of the island, which suffered the damage caused by the passage of Hurricane Melissa, the Ministry of Transportation reported through its Instagram account.

It should be noted that this shipment is added to the more than 12,000 tons sent during the month of October and November, which contains food, medicine, construction materials, toys, among others.

This assistance is a solidarity response organized by the Venezuelan Government after the effects of the hurricane. In addition to shipments of cargo, Venezuelan technicians have been working with Cuban machinery and authorities to rehabilitate roads and carry out reconstruction works in the provinces of Santiago de Cuba, Granma, Holguín and Guantánamo.
