Fourth man died due to Canal Del Sol fire

He passed away early this Friday. German Rodriguezthe fourth person who was admitted to the Hospital Ney Arias Loraafter being burned in the fire that occurred in the Sun Channel on the 29th of last April.

Rodríguez, 56, is the fourth fatality in the incident that occurred in the afternoon at that television plant.

According to Dr. Eddy Bruno, head of the Unit of burned Pearl Fort, German Rodriguez died of multi-organ failure. He had more than 75 percent of his body surface burned.

His death occurred at 2:00 in the morning.

As a result of the fire in the Sun Channel Kelvin Castillo, 22, died; Jeffrey Vasquez, 23; and José del Carmen Reyes, 77.

The fire in the Sun Channelwhich operates under the pay television system, was due to a “deflagration by accumulation of gases”, according to a report from the Fire Department of the National District.

At the time of the event, painting and welding work was carried out at the facilities.
