The Bolivarian National Guard detained four individuals who had previously stolen electrical materials from state facilities, according to military sources.
Two of the detainees were registered as Marcos Abad Contreras Pérez and José Miguel Mendoza, captured in the La Concordia sector, Pedro María Freites municipality (Cantaura), Anzoátegui.
These people had allegedly participated in the looting of a high voltage tower. For this reason, they seized 71 electrical insulators and 61 angles of high-voltage tower structures, belonging to the Guara Este sub-station.
The other two detainees are: Leandro Alcides Pereira and Joimar José Avelucho Perdida, who were arrested in the El Paso sector, Maturín municipality, Monagas state.
During the detention, an electric plant, an industrial lamp, a public lighting lamp, two industrial air conditioning blowers, 8 industrial breakers, two 16 shotguns, a 22mm caliber rifle, and thirty (30) meters of coated electrical conductors were seized. .
