Four prisoners for illegal drug possession

The Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigation Corps managed to arrest four citizens for the alleged commission of crimes contemplated in the Organic Law on Drugs, in the Chacao municipality of Miranda state.

The procedure was carried out by officials from the Drug Investigations Directorate and took place this Monday, January 12, at 6:30 pm, on the public street of Cecilio Acosta Street, in front of the Romans building, the Ministry of the Interior reported in a press release.

Four citizens were apprehended at the scene and elements of criminalistic interest were seized, among which three packages of synthetic material, panela type, containing greenish-brown plant remains, preliminarily identified as marijuana.

The total weight of this substance was 1 kilo and 80 grams, classified as “super marijuana” due to its concentration and presentation.

Likewise, four subjects belonging to this criminal group are still under investigation.

Three glass jars were also found, which contained a substance commonly known as “popper.” In addition, four cell phones of different brands and models were recovered.

Regarding means of transportation, two vehicles were seized: a motorcycle and a car, which will be subjected to technical expertise.

Among other objects of criminalistic interest, a digital scale with no visible mark, a metal vegetable shredder and two bags, one backpack type and the other traveler type, that contained part of the aforementioned items were collected.

This procedure represents a firm step in the Government’s fight against drug trafficking.
