Four presidents confirmed at the Mercosur Summit

The Mercosur summit that takes place this week in Asunción, together with the meeting of the governments that make up Prosur, will integrate an agenda of important issues on the regional agenda, such as the threat of transnational crime, logistics integration and free trade agreements. trade with other blocks.

Julio César Arriola, national chancellor, highlighted that this year’s meeting will be face-to-face again after two and a half years of virtuality.

At the Mercosur Summit, for which six presidents have already confirmed their presence, there are issues such as the common external tariff, the regime of origin, the second stage of Focem, and external relations, the foreign minister said.

The confirmed presidents are; Alberto Fernandez from Argentina; Luis Lacalle Pou from Uruguay; Luis Arce from Bolivia; Chan Santokhi of Suriname and Irfaan Ali, President of Guyana.
