Four people in intensive care and 74 in the room for Covid-19

The epidemiology report issued this afternoon by the Ministry of Health revealed that in Panama the cases of people hospitalized by Covid-19 have decreased, since only 78 people remain in hospitals and 4 of them are in intensive care; while the rest, 74 patients, are in the room.

The Minsa reported that to date there are 2,209 active cases, of which 2,131 are in home isolation and that these are divided into 2,112 at home and 19 in hotels.

While they highlight that in the last 24 hours there were no deaths, however, there was an increase in cases compared to yesterday. Today 340 new positive cases were registered to add a cumulative of 765,677 cases. An accumulated number of 8,172 deaths is maintained for a lethality of 1.1%.

Those recovered amount to 755,296, of which 239 are newly recovered. 6,730 tests were applied for a positivity of 5.1%.

Regarding vaccination, they detailed that to date they have applied 7,970,029 doses of vaccines against Covid-19 in the country since Operation PanavaC-19 began in January 2021.

Of all vaccines 3,453,350 they have been placed in the first dose; 3,042,894 in second dose and 1,462,301 in booster dose.
