The Public Ministry announced that the conviction of four people dedicated to drug trafficking in the state of Miranda was achieved. Two women will serve 24 years in prison, while two men were sentenced to 11 years.
Through its official account on the social network Instagram, the entity indicated that 10,009 kg of marijuana were seized from citizens Yendri Cocho and Yendi Carmona at the time of their arrest. For this fact, both were sentenced to 24 years in prison.
In the same context, the court sentenced Kleiver Pacheco and Lenin González to serve a sentence of 11 years in prison for the crime of illicit trafficking of narcotic and psychotropic substances. It should be noted that 798 grams of marijuana were confiscated from these subjects during the capture procedure.
The Public Ministry, together with the State security agencies, maintains joint work in the fight against drug trafficking. The objective of these actions is to guarantee convictions against those who intend to traffic illicit substances inside and outside the national territory.
