Two members of the Tren de Aragua criminal organization were killed after confronting officials of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB), according to military sources. The armed confrontation occurred in the Malpica del Toro sector, Ezequiel Zamora municipality (Villa de Cura), Aragua.
Members of the El Baby criminal group were present at the site, acting as a cell of the Aragua Train, the source said.
The identity of the killed is in the process of verification. The subjects possessed a Sig Sauer 9mm pistol, a Colt revolver, caliber 38mm and a camouflaged tactical vest.
In the town of Magdaleno (Aragua), there was also an armed confrontation between security agencies and criminals associated with the Tren de Aragua. Specifically in the Carrizal sector of the aforementioned town, members of the Los Marketplace gang confronted officials assigned to the Directorate against Organized Crime of the Bolivarian National Police.
During the confrontation two criminals were killed. The aforementioned gang kept a family group kidnapped last weekend when they went to close the negotiations for the acquisition of a vehicle that they had previously seen on the Marketplace website.

And in the La Línea sector, Santos Michelena municipality (Las Tejerías), Aragua, they arrested Leonardo Armando Franco Herrada and seized 20 7.62×39mm caliber cartridges that fit into rifles, according to the informant.
Franco Herrada is a member of the gang founded by Carlos Enrique Gómez Rodríguez (El Conejo), who has been a fugitive since February 6 when security agencies cornered his organization in Las Tejerías during the Gran Cacique Guaicaipuro II operation.
