Four mining camps, along with dozens of accessories, were destroyed by the authorities in an intervention carried out in the district of Paimas in the Ayabaca province.
The operation had the participation of the Specialized Provincial Prosecutor’s Office for Environmental Matters of Sullana in charge of prosecutor Néstor Luis Sosa Carrillo and his deputy Jhon Beiker Frías Albán and they were accompanied by inspectors from the Regional Directorate of Energy and Mines, police personnel from the Decentralized Department of Piura, UDEX and the USE, and was carried out in the hamlet of Jambur.

At the camps they found two processing plants with six engines, 3 tons of metal material, water pumps, mixers, ball mills, more than one hundred meters of hose, a water tank, metal wheelbarrows, an adobe mining camp, sedimentation ponds, blowtorches and dozens of accessories, blowtorches and tools.
