Four institutions have executed this year’s entire budget

Cuatro instituciones han ejecutado todo el presupuesto de este año

Four State institutions have executed the entire budget as of December 13 of this year, according to the Weekly Budget Execution Report of the General Budget Directorate (Digepres).

These are the Central Electoral Board (JCE), the Chamber of Accounts, the Constitutional Court and the Superior Electoral Court.

The JCE executed RD$ 15,822.3 million. In the original budget, RD$11,771.7 million was assigned and it was increased with the complementary budget.

The Chamber of Accounts earned RD$1,524.2 million, the Constitutional Court RD$1,825.4 million and the Superior Electoral Court RD$1,172 million.

While the Judiciary has executed RD$9,542.6 million out of a total of RD$9,544.3 million, that is, it needs to execute RD$1.7 million.

From a budget of RD$402.1 million, the Ombudsman has earned RD$378.8 million.

The execution of the National Public Defense Office has been RD$715 million out of a budget of RD$981.2 million, that is, RD$266.2 million is missing to be executed this year.

The public institution that registers the lowest budget execution is the Ministry of Tourism, directed since August 16, 2020 by David Collado.

From a budget of RD$9,903. 4 million, Tourism has only spent RD$6,109. 9 million. That means that Tourism needs to execute RD$3,793.5 million this year. Throughout 2024, the Ministry of Tourism has had low budget execution.
