Authorities arrested in International airport of the Americas to four foreigners that they would travel on the same flight to France, Paris, with their stomachs full of alleged narcotic substances.
The arrest was carried out by agents of the National Directorate of Drug Control (DNCD), supported by members of the Specialized Airport Security Corps (CESAC) and State Intelligence agencies, coordinated by the Ministry Public.
The official organizations highlighted in the terminal, after receiving intelligence reportsthey proceeded to profile several passengers and after carrying out the inspection protocol, it was possible to detect through one of the x ray machinesforeign bodies in the digestive tract of one of the foreigners.
Later, the same procedure was carried out with the other Frenchmen, who also tested positive for narcotic substances in his stomach.
The detainedthree men and a woman, were taken to the Central Hospital of the Armed Forces, where in the hands of specialist doctors they began the process of expulsion of the bags of the substance.
“At the moment the four foreignerswho were reportedly traveling together to Paris, have expelled more than 100 bagswhile the process of evacuation of the substance continues in the hospital.
The authorities They assure that it is a network that uses Dominicans and foreigners as “mules” of the drug trafficking to bring drugs to Europe and the United States.
The detained aged 18, 21 and two aged 25, are in custody waiting to conclude the process of expulsion of the substance, and then be handed over to the Jurisdiction of Attention Permanent of the province of Santo Domingo for the corresponding purposes.
