With the approval, in the first debate, of Bill 545, in the Government, Justice and Constitutional Affairs Commission, the province of Panamá Oeste could change the numbering in some of its electoral circuits, they would now have the number 13.
In this way, the circuits of the West Panama Province would go from being 8-1, 8-2, 8-3 and 8-5 to 13-1, 13-2, 13-3, and 13-5 and would correspond to the areas of Arraiján 13-1, Capira 13-2, Chame and San Carlos 13-3 and La Chorrera 13-5.
According to the director of electoral organization, Osman Valdés highlighted that this project, in which initially the electoral redistribution of the deputies was considered, was approved in the third debate, eliminating this article. The project sought to remove a deputy from circuits 8-7, 8-6, 8-8 and relocate them to the new circuits 8-1. 8-10 and 8-5.
