The Army of the Dominican Republic (ERD) brought to justice four other Dominicans detained for trafficking of foreigners with irregular immigration status in different parts of the country.

At the El Carril checkpoint in San Juan de la Maguana, Dominicans Wilmi Sánchez Amador, Ricardo Sánchez Boció, Fraicol Morillo de la Paz, and José Adrián Vallejo were detained, who were transporting 9 undocumented immigrants in two vehicles.

While on the Vengan a Ver stretch of road in Duvergé, Miguel Ángel Medina Cuevas was arrested when he was driving a minibus with 4 Haitian nationals without any legal documentation.

The vehicles used in these operations, the Mitsubishi minibus, a Hyundai Sonata and a Honda Civic, were transferred to the Duvergé Fortress and the 3rd brigade headquarters for the corresponding legal purposes.

While undocumented foreigners were handed over to the General Directorate of Immigration.

Haitian citizen arrested with illegal money

In another case, Haitian citizen Renau Jean Baptiste was detained by members of the Army at the checkpoint in Boca de Cachón, with 375 thousand gourdes in different bales, which, according to the foreigner, he tried to cross into Port-au-Prince. without making the corresponding customs declaration.

When questioned about this, Jean Baptiste stated that when he was unable to cross into the capital of Haiti, he decided to try to enter through Elías Piña, when he was detained by ERD troops.

The detained foreigner and the seized money were delivered by certification to the General Directorate of Customs (DGA) because they were foreign currencies. Directorate of Public Relations Army RD.
