Three people died, including a 5-year-old boy, as a result of a fire that occurred this Sunday in the Villa Tiziana Residential Complex, located in the town of San Diego (Carabobo).
According to the official part of the Redan Central, the incident was caused by a short circuit in a fan.
The deceased were identified as: Yamileth Oviedo (44 years old), Yaileth Dresleidy Guedez (28 years old), Yaileth Guedez (19 years old) and Saúl Martínez (05 years old).
Meanwhile, the injured held in the Ciudad Hospitalaria Dr Enrique Tejera in Valencia and the “José Gregorio Hernández” Pediatric Medical Center, answer to the names of Saúl Antonio Medina (68 years old) and Daniel Martínez (30 years old), who present intoxication by smoke.
Given the situation, the mayor of the San Diego municipality, León Jurado, reported that his office will assume the funeral expenses of the Guedez Oviedo and Martínez Guedez families.
Likewise, he recognized the work of the municipal firefighters and the organizations that participated in putting out the flames.
