Four dead leaves a new massacre in Colombia

A new massacre was reported this Saturday in Colombia, after four people were killed in the village of La María in the municipality of El Águila in the department of Valle del Cauca, reported the Institute of Studies for Development and Peace (Indepaz).

According to the institution, four men and one woman were murdered in the area known as La María in the municipality of El Águila in Valle del Cauca.

Residents of the area through videos recorded the moments of tension they experienced when they heard the shooting and the screams of the victims, minutes later they left their homes and when they went to the home of a well-known family, they found the bodies.

Indepaz informs that apparently two of the victims would be a couple, who were inside a house.

So far the authorities have not reported the identity of the fatalities.

According to information collected by local media, there was a shootout that lasted around 30 minutes, which left four dead.

In less than 15 days, five people have already been murdered in this town in northern Del Valle.

Faced with the increase in the murders of social leaders, ex-combatants who signed the agreements, and human rights defenders, Indepaz has demanded the creation of the Territorial Table of Guarantees of Antioquia, one of the regions most affected by these violent actions.
