Yesterday, Enel stated that it would restore the service today, however, 0.78% of the total consumers served by the concessionaire are in the dark.

According to a statement from the company, teams remain on the streets working to restore service.

At the height of the crisis, on Wednesday (10), around 2.2 million customers were impacted. The winds, which reached 98km/h in some regions, felled more than 300 trees. Many of them fell onto the wire network, destroying cables and poles.

Due to the seriousness of the situation, this Saturday (13), the São Paulo Court gave Enel a 12-hour deadline to reconnect the energy in the city and also in neighboring municipalities at the risk of a fine of R$200,000 per hour.

This Sunday, the Ministry of Mines and Energy released a statement saying that the Enel could lose the concession to operate in the state of São Paulo if it does not fully comply with the quality indices and contractual obligations.
