Four Cubans nominated for the 2023 Youth Awards

MADRID, Spain.- Cuban musicians Aymée NuviolaLenier Mesa, Camila Cabello and the duo Gente De Zona (Alexander Delgado and Randy Malcom) are among the nominees to the Premios Juventud 2023, announced this Wednesday by Univisión.

Aymée Nuviola competes in the Tropical Mix category with the song “Pan para Yolanda”, which she premiered last October with the Spanish musician Melendi.

The also actress will compete for the award with Shakira and Ozuna (“Monotonía”); Los Ángeles Azules and Carlos Vives (“Cumbia of the heart”); and Prince Royce, Nicky Jam and Jay Wheeler (“If They Ask You”), among others.

“I thank God for making this nomination possible in @premiosjuventud with the beautiful song that I share with the great @_melendioficial_ BREAD FOR YOLANDA, in the Tropical Mix category. Thanks to everyone who made this possible. @univision, @premiosjuventud always giving our Latino community the gift of music,” Nuviola said from his social networkswhere he also congratulated the rest of the nominees.

For his part, Lenier Mesa competes in the Best Dembow Collaboration section, for the song “Wapae”, along with Tekashi 6ix9ine. Mesa will dispute the award with Tokischa, Anuel AA and Ñengo Flow; The Alpha and Prince Royce; Kiko El Crazy and El Alfa; The Insuperable, Farina and Yailín “The Most Viral”; Chimbala and Angel Dior.

While Camila Cabello could take the award for Best Pop Album for Family. With this album, the Cuban is also nominated in the Pop Track of the Year category. Cabello is also among the nominees for the Young Women’s Artist Awards.

The popular duo Gente De Zona competes for the second consecutive year in the Favorite Group or Duo of the Year section. Likewise, like Nuviola, he is one of the nominees in the Tropical Mix category, for the song “Soy Yo”, along with Don Omar and Wisin.

The public will be able to vote for their favorite artists until June 26 at the website from Univision. The winners of the Premios Juventud 2023, which this year comes with the motto “Express yourself in your own way”, will be announced on July 20 at a gala to be held at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum, in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The gala will be broadcast live on Univision.
