The president of the Mission Return to the Homeland, Camilla Fabri, reported that on Friday, September 12, four children who said they remained in the United States had been separated from their parents in the midst of the recent deportations of migrants.
Fabri thanked the US first lady, Melania Trump, for “having made possible” the return of these children to their country and denounced that they expected the arrival of nine, who said they are no longer under the care of substitute families, but in the protection of the customs service and control service (ICE). He also informed that there are still 60 infants without their parents in that country.
Once again, the official reiterated that the separation of the children of her parents in a “violation of international law and human rights.”
The returnees are: Yoel Zerpa, José Daniel Urdaneta, Breithker Mosquera and Dominic Carmona. “These little warriors have faced a difficult experience, but now they are ready to meet their families and start a new stage full of love and hope,” he said.
“I want to ask Melania Trump to continue, please, sending us to children, to return us to all children, please, that she continues to intercede to make this miracle possible,” said the Vice Minister of International Communication.
Last August, a group of mothers deported by the US requested, from Caracas, an audience with the first lady of the US to request their intervention in the case of children.
In addition, another 296 migrants deported by the administration of Donald Trump arrived. Among them, 230 men, 54 women and 11 other infants. This was Flight number 67 that arrives in the country with Venezuelan citizens deported by the United States.
