Cicpc agents arrested four people for their alleged participation in the murder of Nazaret Mercedes Marín Placencia (27), a worker at the National Forensic Sciences Service (Senamef), judicial sources said.

Marín left for Playa Los Ángeles (La Guaira) on Sunday March 19 and his corpse was rescued in Mare Abajo on Thursday the 23rd, with signs of strangulation and sexual abuse, according to preliminary versions.

The following were arrested for this act: Eduin Mujica, Keysler Pérez Martínez, Miller Andreína Sequera and Robert Kenny Eviez. One person remains to be captured.

This group of detainees will be presented in the next few hours before the 2nd Control Court of La Guaira, where the Public Ministry will charge them with aggravated femicide among other crimes.

Forensic studies indicate that the young woman was drugged, abused and later strangled, a situation that caused her death.

Marín Placencia lived in Lídice, Caracas and worked as secretary of the Forensic Medical Evaluation Directorate of Senamef.
