The Public Ministry reported the capture of four people for their alleged connection to the murder of peasant leader Carlos José Bolívar Cedeño.
Those detained for this act are: Carlos Rivero, Alexis Silva, Mariangelica Mujica and José Mujica. These people were accused of the crimes of contract killings in the degree of necessary accomplices, criminal association and use of adolescents to commit crimes.
The accusation was made by prosecutors 60 national and 18 of Guárico before the 2nd Court of Guárico, extension of Calabozo, detailed Saab.
Bolívar Cedeño was assassinated with a rifle on March 2 in Puerto Carrizalero, located in Camaguán, Guárico. A subject arrived, shot him and fled. The victim died on the spot, according to witnesses.
The Peasant Struggle Platform held a march this Tuesday in Caracas to demand justice.
“The @MinpublicoVEN under our management applies and will apply the full weight of the #LAW against those who promote or sponsor the #selective assassination of our peasant leaders to favor the interests of a minority,” wrote the head of the Attorney General’s Office.
