With the result, Flamengo occupies momentarily the 10th position, with 12 points conquered. Leão do Pici, on the other hand, has five points, and remains in last place.

Fortaleza started the match on defense, not giving Flamengo spaces to attack. With difficulties in creating, Rubro-Negro did not take any danger to Marcelo Boeck’s goal. Leão do Pici’s counterattack worked and the carioca team showed defensive fragility. The visitors gained space and confidence to attack and, already in the middle of the first half, they dominated the match and had lost two incredible chances to open the scoring.

At 5 minutes, Robson received a throw and, face to face with goalkeeper Hugo, ended up finishing on the beam. The second great opportunity was Romarinho, in the 23rd minute. Shirt 11 appeared alone inside the penalty area and kicked hard, into the net from the outside. The third attempt was fatal. Willian Arão played it wrong and Jussa recovered the ball. He passed it to Robson, who knocked over Hugo to make the first.

Flamengo was completely lost on the field and Fortaleza started to exchange passes with ease in the attacking field. The second almost came out in the 47th minute, with Pikachu, after a good move. Punishment came soon after. In the only work played by the red-negro in the first half, Everton Ribeiro passed it to Ayrton Lucas, who returned it to shirt number 7 to kick first and leave everything the same.

The second stage started with the chance of Flamengo practically guaranteeing the victory. At 3 minutes, Marcelo Benevenuto gave Pedro a penalty. Referee Leandro Vuaden confirmed the penalty after checking the bid in VAR. Pedro himself went for the kick, but hit the post.

Flamengo improved in relation to the first half, with the additions of Vitinho, Thiago Maia and David Luiz in the places of João Gomes, Willian Arão and Pablo. Even with the changes made at half-time and with the penalty missed, the team didn’t have another chance to score. Fortaleza, on the other hand, always arrived dangerously, with the opposing defense open.

Leão do Pici’s winning goal came in the 46th minute. Filipe Luís missed a pass in the middle of the field, Romero advanced on the left, dribbled Matheuzinho and kicked for Hugo’s good defense. On the rebound, Hercules shot with his left leg to make the second and close the score.

In the next round, Flamengo will face Bragantino, on Wednesday (08), at 20:30, at Nabi Abi Chedid. Fortaleza receives Goiás at Castelão, on Thursday (09), at 8 pm (Brasilia time).
