Former Supreme Prosecutor Luis Carlos Arce Cordova was dismissed as the titular representative of the Public Ministry before the National Elections Jury (JNE) after leaving office in 2021. The magistrate violated the law of the electoral institution when he was a member. Her removal came after a unanimous decision by the National Board of Justice (JNJ), this Wednesday, June 22.
Likewise, in the presentation of the immediate disciplinary procedure No. 093-2021-JNJ, by Judge Inés Tello de Ñecco, it was proven that Luis Arce Córdova, with his letter in which he mentions his decline to the JNEfailed to comply with the provisions of article 16 of the Organic Law of the JNE, which establishes the prohibition to resign from office.
On the other hand, the president of the JNE, José Ávila Herrera, agreed with what Tello stated, since he confirmed that Arce Córdova “put electoral justice at risk” with your decision.

“With this, the configuration of the serious offenses in which the magistrate has incurred is proven and accredited (Luis Arce Cordova). Consequently, I am in agreement with the proposal of dismissal as supreme prosecutor in the exercise of the position of titular member of the Plenary of the National Jury of Elections”, Avila said at the hearing.
Similarly, the plenary of the JNJ concluded that Luis Arce Córdova failed to comply with article 47, paragraph 13 of the Prosecutor Career Law, for which the sanction of dismissal by unanimous vote was imposed on him.

Luis Arce Córdova was dismissed for audios with César Hinostroza
In July 2021, the National Board of Justice decided to remove Luis Arce Córdova as supreme prosecutor for the audios in which he talked with the former judge Cesar Hinostroza Pariachicurrently with an extradition request in Spain after the investigation against him for joining the criminal organization The Necks Banks of the Port.
