Former director of the Federal Highway Police (PRF) Silvinei Vasques took a pitbull dog, food and sanitary mats during his escape to Paraguay. 
Sentenced to 24 years and 6 months in prison in the criminal action of Nucleus 2 of the coup plot, the former director was under house arrest, but broke the electronic ankle bracelet and fled to a neighboring country to avoid serving his sentence. The escape occurred in the early hours of Christmas.
This Friday (26), Vasques was arrested at Silvio Pettiross International Airport, in Asunciónwhen trying to board a flight to El Salvador with a false passport. It should be handed over to the Federal Police in the next few hours.
Images from the closed circuit TV of the former director’s building, located in São José (SC), show Silvinei placing his dog and bags of food in the car used for the escape, which began at around 7:22 pm on Wednesday (24), Christmas Eve.
“At approximately 7:14 p.m., he placed more things in the back seat, including food and many bags of toilet mats for dogs, on the passenger side. At approximately 7:22 p.m., he went to the car carrying food feeding containers and leading a dog, appearing to be a pitbull breed, and left,” the PF reported to the STF.
After being informed about the escape, Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), ordered preventive detention of the former director.
There is still no information about the dog’s condition.
