Like the rest of the former presidents, Michelle Bachelet announced that she will not participate in the closing ceremony for the delivery of the text of the Constitutional Convention.
In this way, both Sebastián Piñera, Ricardo Lagos and Eduardo Frei will be subtracted from the meeting on July 4.
However, the former president will not be able to attend due to the top of her agenda, as confirmed by sources close to Radio DNA.
After announcing her end in the position of High Commissioner for Human Rights of the United Nations Organization, Bachelet must exercise the role until the end of August of this year.
The announcement comes the same day that Sebastián Piñera confirmed his absence, noting that “I believe that the confusing and contradictory way in which the former presidents were invited does not honor the tradition of republican respect in our country.”
