Former police officer sentenced to 50 years in prison for femicide and attempted femicide

The Public Ministry reported that the Homicide and Femicide Section of the Panama Oeste Prosecutor’s Office obtained a 50-year prison sentence for a former police officer for the crime of femicide and attempted murder that occurred in the Chorrera district in 2021.

“Today a conviction of 50 years in prison was achieved against a person who was a former police unit, this for the crimes of femicide and attempted femicide, this oral trial was held on November 17 and 18 past, where a guilty verdict is reached before a jury of conscience,” said prosecutor Sherly Barría.
