Santo Domingo.- The Attorney General’s Office (PGR) and the National Drug Control Directorate (DNCD) reported that they received at the Las Américas International Airport (AILA-JFPG), as a deportee from United States, to the former Lieutenant Colonel of the Police, Hans Wender Lluberes Sánchez, toaccused of being one of the leaders of an international drug trafficking structure, from which a shipment of cocaine was confiscated in March 2015.
Upon arrival at the terminal from Miami, United Statess, the Dominican was guarded by tactical units of the DNCD and delivered to the Public Ministry of the Santo Domingo Este municipalityto present him before the corresponding court to answer the accusations against him.
The accused had been wanted since 2019
According to the file, the Public Ministry of Santo Domingo Este, declared in rebellion against Lluberes Sánchez, in December 2019for absenting himself from the process that was being followed against him.
The authorities accuse him of being the alleged leader of a drug trafficking network that brought nine suitcases into the country containing, 450 packages of cocaine, weighing 454 kilograms.
The shipment was seized through inspection work by operational units, stationed in the AILA, when it arrived in the Dominican Republic on an aircraft from Venezuela.

It is recalled that in December 2019, the Public Ministry of Santo Domingo Este obtained sentences of 30, 20, 18 and 5 years in prison against nine defendants, accused of trafficking 454 packages of cocaine, seized at the AILA on March 17, 2015.
