He is involved in a three-vehicle road accident, in which one of the drivers died, and fled the scene
Police authorities in Miami-Dade, United States, arrested Gilbert Caro (Voluntad Popular), after he was accused of being allegedly involved in a traffic accident that left one person dead and another injured, according to reports.
The Voluntad Popular party confirmed the information through its account on social network X, which reads as follows: “We have been informed that Gilbert Caro was involved in a traffic accident in the last few hours in the United States and is in the custody of authorities in that country after what happened.”
American media reported that the traffic accident involving Caro occurred on Monday afternoon on Southwest 42nd Avenue and 8th Street in Miami. The crash involved three vehicles. The driver of one of the cars died. He was 29 years old. A woman, who was driving another of the cars, was injured.
Former congressman Gilbert Caro fled the scene in his vehicle, according to investigations.
Caro came to light recently when the Attorney General, Tarek William Saab, presented on August 15 audio recordings of Luis Humberto Yañez Martínez (Valle), the negative leader of Rodeo II, who alludes to a plan to create chaos in Venezuelan prisons after the presidential elections. This subject said he had held conversations with Gilbert Caro to carry out these violent actions.
