Former Minister Juan Silva rules out becoming an effective collaborator because "he doesn't know anything"

The former Minister of Transport and Communications, Juan Silva, ruled out that he will become an effective collaborator in the framework of the investigations that are being carried out in the Puente Tarata case, since he assured that he has no participation in the case.

In a dialogue with Successful, Silva Villegas denied that he had met with the businessman Zamir Villaverde or Karelim López in his office when he led the MTC, he also said that he did not usually dispatch with President Pedro Castillo at the Government Palace because he spent more time working in his sector.

“[¿Usted será colaborador eficaz?] What am I going to collaborate with if I don’t know anything. It strikes me that they relate me to the Government Palace because I was not there. From 2020 onwards there has been a criminal organization all my life because Karelim López entered the MTC as if at home, but it has not arrived at my office”, manifested.

“They can accuse me of whatever they want, but I will never talk about anything I don’t know about, the first thing the president tells you is ‘Juan walks with his nails cut’, we have never had that confidence. They have been confused if they want me to declare myself as an effective collaboratorhe added.

At another time, he said he does not remember whether or not he knows Zamir Villaverde and stated that he will request the audios delivered to the Public Ministry to make an expert opinion to prove their authenticity.

“[¿Conoce usted a Zamir Villaverde?] I cannot remember that kind of thing but I am sure of what they do in the Government Palace I am not responsible because I was not there and he has never arrived at my officeneither does my department, I understand that there is an eagerness to get involved in events, it shows”, he referred.

“Those audios must be seen if they are true, before giving an opinion on that we are going to ask for the audios, if they are real it would be something concrete, otherwise no”, emphasized.

Finally, he asserted that President Pedro Castillo is not his close friend and that he was only invited to assume the portfolio of Transport and Communications.

I can’t talk about betrayal [de Pedro Castillo]I don’t owe him favors, I’m sure I haven’t let him down, I’ll never talk about something I don’t know, I’ve never done business with him”, held.

They tell me that I am a “close friend” and what a close friend I am, I am not a close friend, I am a person who has invited me to assume that responsibility and I have shown that I have worked in the best way”, said.
