Former mayor of Barahona and the mayors of Jaquimeyes, Fundación and Villa Central are sworn in at the PRM

Barahona. –The Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM) held an oath ceremony today at the Villa Central Sports Center in this province, which was attended by nearly four thousand people.

The president and general secretary of the PRM, José Ignacio Paliza and Carolina Mejía, respectively, swore in the former mayor, Noel Octavio Suberví (Tavito), who left the Dominican Revolutionary Party (PRD) and the mayors of the Jaquimeyes, Fundación and Villa Central municipalities , Carlos Valentín Batista Matos, Rafael Feliz (Pello) and Ana Lucía Almánzar Batista, who also left the PRD and the People’s Force.

Beating said that the men and women of the PRM who in the past elections did not obtain favorable electoral results in Barahona after the swearing in of Tavito Suberví and two other mayors, success in this province is assured.

He also added that when the perremeista family unites it will never be defeated.

For his part, Mejía indicated that: “seeing all these people fills me with happiness, although this is a political party, it is still a great family and the greatest thing we have is precisely that family. We work with our hearts and today we tell Barahona “I believe in you,” Mejia said.

Tavito, after joining the ranks of the PRM, expressed that in his long political life he thanks his followers for accompanying him since they are the fundamental base of his career.

“Today I also thank the province and the PRM for receiving me in their party, I will work like a soldier so that Luis Abinader Corona does not lose a single space,” said Tavito, who was mayor of this province for 18 years in periods consecutive and until today he served as provincial president of the PRD.

Tavito urged his followers to be patient and have faith, to work tirelessly and wait for their moment.

Finally, he said that “the “Jacho” is on but in the PRM”.

In addition, the following were sworn in: Amable Olivero, former municipal president of Jaquimeyes and former member of the PLD central committee; Hamilton Nin Connor (Pichón), former candidate for mayor of the Municipal District of Villa Central for the Fuerza del Pueblo; Eddy Gómez Mella, former councilor of the municipality of Enriquillo for the PLD. They were all sworn in with their political teams and hundreds of other leaders.

In that same order, the words of welcome were given by the provincial president here, Edgar Augusto Felix, who expressed that today they give him a welcoming hug and the members of the party.

Felix said that in the PRM no one takes anyone’s job, if everyone works tirelessly in favor of the Dominican people.

Present were: the mayor of the Santa Cruz de Barahona municipality, Víctor Fernández de la Cruz; the governor of the province, Genera González; among other important leaders.

In addition, the national leaders: Fellito Suberví and Rafael Jesús Feliz García.
