Former Foreign Minister Erika Mouynes was invited to participate in the board of advisors of the Center for Latin America of the international analysis forum “Atlantic Council”, and chair it, for a period of three years.
This group of advisors deals with issues such as emerging hemispheric risks and development opportunities through the association between Latin America, the United States and Europe, identifying common strategic values and interests, such as the transatlantic geographic link.
“My incorporation into the analysis group coincides with that of other new directors, such as Juan Luis Moreno, former president of the Inter-American Development Bank, and Moises Naim, of the Carnegie Fund for International Peace,” Mouynes said through his social networks.
The appointment took place at the offices of the “Atlantic Council” in Washington, where he received the command from Gerardo Mato, who has been president of global banking and markets for the Americas of HSBC.
Other members of the Board attended, such as the former president of Costa Rica Laura Chinchilla and guests such as Juan González, assistant to President Joe Biden and White House special envoy for Latin America, and Senator Chris Dodd, in charge of coordinating the Summit of the Americas. .
The Atlantic Council, founded in 1961, and with ten regional centers, among which the “Adrienne Arsht” for Latin America stands out since 2013, promotes the search for consensus solutions to the global challenges of the future, favoring alliances around the world.
