The so-called “interim government” of former deputy Juan Guaidó, anointed by the United States to destabilize Venezuela, became a chronicle of an announced death.
Yesterday, in the first discussion, the parties Primero Justicia (PJ), Un Nuevo Tiempo (UNT) and the extremist wing of Acción Democrática (AD) approved with 72 votes to eliminate the failed interim government of Guaidó, a member of Voluntad Popular (VP).
During the debate, 69 of 115 former deputies elected in 2015, who at the time supported Guaidó, raised their hands and raised their voices calling for the elimination of the “interim government”, after considering that the mechanism was weakened without achieving any clear objective.
The proposal to cease the “interim” was presented by Nora Bracho (UNT).
The second proposal presented during the first day of debate was from Sergio Vergara (VP), who obtained 23 votes. The extension for one more year of the “self-proclaimed government” was requested.
The day before, the PJ coordinator, Alfonso Marquina, together with representatives of parties such as AD and UNT, announced to the country at a press conference the withdrawal of support, backing and recognition of the “self-proclaimed” Juan Guaidó.
They are expected to hold the second debate today.
