He Judiciary ordered the location and capture of the sentenced former congressman Michael Urtecho and his wife, Claudia Gonzales. Both were sentenced to 22 and 28 years in prison for cutting the salaries of their workers in Parliament.
The National Police reportedly reported that the former legislator and his wife left their home and have been missing since November 8, the day the Supreme Court handed down the sentence.
As recalled, Urtecho and González were sentenced in the first instance in September 2023. Both were under a regime in which the National Police had to verify every day that the couple was at their home.
However, according to a report from the House Arrest Division, the husbands violated the restrictive measure. When the second instance sentence was handed down on November 8, police officers went to the house, but they were no longer there.

The Public Ministry was able to demonstrate that Urtecho and his wife illegally withheld S/ 430,666 from their workers.
