Former Fujimori congressman Héctor Becerril, who was a member of Fuerza Popular for more than a decade, announced his incorporation into the ranks of Alianza Para el Progreso (APP).
Through his social networks, the former legislator also thanked César Acuña, leader of APP, for his “gentle invitation” to the party, highlighting his commitment to “strengthening the organization.”
“I appreciate the kind invitation of Mr. César Acuña, to be part of the APP political party, assuming the commitment to contribute to the strengthening of the party organization, the foundation of democracy and governability, which can only be achieved with solid and strong parties” , he wrote on his networks along with a photo with Acuña Peralta.
It should be remembered that at this time, the party has been harshly questioned for having as a member a former Congress official who is currently being investigated for leading a prostitution network in Parliament.
Likewise, Becerril presented his resignation to the Fujimori party on July 5 of last year and could apply with APP to the Chamber of Deputies or the Senate. However, this has not yet been confirmed by the political party.
