About thirty Russian buses arrived in the city of Chinandega to compete with the old units, about twenty buses that make the interurban route to the Estela neighborhood, La Florida, Pedro Joaquín, Monserrat, the extensive Colonia Roberto González, neighborhoods in the peripheral northwest of Chinandega , among others.
This has caused the discomfort of the union of old cooperatives in the face of the intense traffic of the modern fleet, which without official terminals, circulate one after the other through the four corners of the municipality.
Authorities from the political secretariat of the Ortega party, the Mayor’s Office, the Ministry of Transport and the Regional Union of Transport Cooperatives (Urecotraco), handed them over to political officials and “disciplined transport partners” who offer the service in this city.

Russian units circulate with few passengers and only board it with more users at peak hours. The fare remains at six córdobas, so it can be deduced that they operate at a loss, since there are moments in the morning or afternoon, when they practically run empty with two or three passengers.
