He also mentioned that Dina Boluarte has given up his leadership in the fight against corruption.
He said that the president has “embraced” the impunity schemes, referring to the norm that she proposes to prescribe crimes against humanity, known as the ‘Amnesty Law’, validating the actions of the present Congress and that they cause harm to citizens.
“Yes, it is terrible news. The president, abdicating her constitutional duties and giving up her leadership in the fight against corruption (and in the case of the law that attacks the principle of imprescriptibility of crimes against humanity), is failing to ensure the enjoyment and exercise of human rights, embracing the schemes of impunity that Congress encourages to the detriment of the entire nation,” he said.
