During her speech, the minister also highlighted that the Cofopri titles bring hope for the future because now you are owners and can access loans from Mivivienda and Techo Propio and also loans to improve your homes or start a small business.
“Having the property title not only represents a piece of paper, but also means the achievement of many years of fighting and waiting, and the satisfaction of having achieved what they have fought so hard for,” he said.
The executive director of Cofopri, Sigifredo Del Castillo Miranda, added that they seek to commit provincial and district mayors, who also have the power to deliver property titles, to work in an articulated manner.
“From Cofopri we will provide the corresponding advice and technical support, and you as local authorities can help us identify the most needy population in Piura in order to increase our attention,” he commented.
The event also had the participation of the mayor of the Provincial Municipality of Piura, Gabriel Madrid Orué; the president of the Housing Commission of the Congress of the Republic, María Acuña Peralta; Congresswoman Maricruz Zeta, as well as leaders and authorities from various human settlements.
