The Institute highlights that these more than 12,000 jobs in July represent a figure higher than that reported in the last two years.
But it is far from the 116,543 formal jobs generated in July 2021.
From January to July 2024, job creation stands at 307,402, a drop of 39.9% compared to the same period in 2023, when 512,243 jobs were created.
During this period, 321,840 permanent jobs have been created and 14,438 temporary jobs have been lost.
While in the last 12 months there has been a growth of 446,649 jobs.
The sectors with the highest annual increase in jobs are transport and communications (5.6%), commerce (3.2%) and construction (3%).
By state, Chiapas, Hidalgo and Nayarit lead with annual increases above 4.5%.
In total, the IMSS registers 22,331,788 jobs, 86.6% are permanent and 13.4% are temporary.
Regarding the average contribution base salary for IMSS-affiliated jobs, it reached 588.7 pesos at the end of July, which is a nominal annual increase of 9.7%.
